ABOUT THIS BLOG

I have had the honor and privilege of doing youth ministry for the past 16 years (with a 2 year break to get my MBA).  In those years I have have taught hundreds of lessons, led dozens of trips and retreats, and had countless 'heart to hearts' with some of the most amazing students in the world.

I certainly do not claim to be an expert, but I have learned a lot of things from students over the years.  In particular, there are several 'truths' that seem to be reoccurring, even as the culture and the world around students are ever changing.

So, I decided to start a blog to share some of the most common issues I have heard from students.  Often, when I have encouraged students to talk with their parents about these topics, I have been told "they don't care," "they wouldn't understand," or "they don't listen."  I know that more often than not, none of these things are true.  However, for whatever reason, in the teenage mind, they are often felt.

My hope is that this blog would give you some helpful insights into the mind of your teenager.

Your thoughts and feedback are always appreciated!

In His Grip,
Amy
